201892 year old resident of an assisted living facility, with increasing dementia and failing physically, was left alone for about 30 minutes in a TV sitting area. While alone and without supervision, she got up from her wheelchair and wandered down a hallway, tripping over a medical supplies cart and fracturing her neck. She died 5 months later.
